Buddha at Red Rocket tattoos in Manhattan is dope if he's still there. Shop around though, you may find a better price--but he's a safe bet. he'll give an estimate too. I'm about to check this other brother out in BK to do some work. will put you on…

Honestly, your best bet is to just scour the city for artists. There are tons, and regardless of whom we might suggest- the final decision rests in your comfortability with the artist you choose.

I did post this already in the tattoo and piercing group and didn't get much of a response.   To sum it up, I need a breakdown of getting a tattoo in NY. I'm looking to get possibly either or both of two tattoo ideas: a crescent moon behind my left…

Ditto to what ducklips said. I'd have gone to my grave with the school-age myth intact if people who actually lived to see that phenomenon take form hadn't shared that info, lol. Thanks to Jah and Rosenda.

Cool! Thanks, this was all historical... My mom and I are from Cali, she from Compton specifically, so I can ask her about a lot of this.

Well put Jahluv. I too noticed the baggy chinos pants on the brothers and latinos when I was growing up. At first it was the older fellows (like the kids I knew in school who would tell us at school that his or her father, uncle, grandfather, etc…

Aww, man... *kicks rocks* (And while searching for illustrations of the above description, I now know what "moose knuckle" is: http://www.ehow.com/how_2095435_avoid-having-moose-knuckle.html) I can only hope old age is kind.

About Me
I like a lot of different stuff and rarely fit in anywhere. I've lived in four different states, but call California my home. I am going to school in New York right now.

I first got into rock when I was 10, and have been lovestruck ever since.

I'm pretty much a tomb boy and rarely get along well with girls, yet, my best friend is a girl and I go to an all-girl school, go figure. I don't really feel any animosity about being black and into rock, though I use to. Now, I just ignore all of that and have fun, but since I've never settled, I've never really been in a scene so I don't know anything about underground bands and such, just mainstream, which I think kinda sucks.
I'm more into metal than punk, and before metal it was grunge, but I still know very little about it.
So. I'm pretty much a baby when it comes to all of this, though I've been into it for 8 years now. I'm still open to any suggestions on bands, and would love it if there were any kids here that could show me where to go to have some fun, just no creepy shit. I'm also not a drinker, no drugs, and no smoking, don't care if you do it, I just aint interested.
You can be my friend if...
us cool, thats all.
As long as u don't bitch all the time, u like cartoons, and u can handle someone who's a smartass and legitimately can't help it, we can get along.
